Job description
Are you an experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon looking for a rewarding locum tenens opportunity? A healthcare facility near Sebring, Florida, is seeking a board-certified Orthopaedic Surgeon to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to provide essential care in a supportive and well-equipped environment.
Position Highlights: Start Date: January 6, 2025
Duration: Ongoing
Schedule: Clinical hours plus call coverage
Includes holiday coverage for major U.S. holidays
Patient Load: 35 patients per shift
1020 beds in the department
Assigned patient rounding
Practice Details: Setting: Inpatient only
Call Details: Call response time: 15 minutes
Phone consults: Approximately 2 per day
Call-back rate: 60%
Specialty Skills Required: Arthroscopy
Total joint replacement (hip and knee)
Joint revision and repair
Shoulder, hand, and tendon release/repair procedures
Spine procedures (cervical, thoracic, lumbar)
Qualifications: Board Certification: Required in Orthopaedic Surgery
Fellowship training preferred but not mandatory
Active medical license for Florida
Minimum 30-day credentialing timeframe
Support and Resources: Strong support staff, including registered nurses, medical assistants, and advanced practice providers
EMR systems: Cerner and Athena
Additional Information: Travel and lodging covered by the vendor
No requirement to supervise residents or teaching responsibilities
Trauma and pediatrics levels: N/A
