Opportunity Highlights Schedule: 8-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM), 10-hour shifts, and 24-hour shifts available; Day shift required; Weeknight on-call (pager) required; Weekend on-call (pager) preferred; Overtime not expected; Assignment duration: 26 weeks; Target start date: August 10, 2026Job Setting: HospitalTypes of Cases: General, Orthopedic, OB, PediatricsCredentialing: Estimated privileging timeframe: 30 days; Accelerated/Temporary privileges available (30-60 days) Responsibilities Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia DepartmentResponsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical proceduresPre-anesthesia assessmentObtain and/or verify patient consentDiscuss anesthetic options and risks with the patientInduction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesiaMonitoring of the patient's physiological conditionPerformance of clinical intervention as needed Minimum Requirements Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certification requiredCertifications: ECFMG and FLEX; Completion of approved Residency in Anesthesia; M.D./D.O.
