Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Physician Assistant - Catheterization Lab to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County . Kings County Hospital operates a world‑renowned Level I Trauma Center, one of only three in Brooklyn, which serves 2.6 million residents of Brooklyn and Staten Island. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards.
Opportunity Details
Perform physical examination and obtain medical history, order labs, ECGs, chest X‑rays, etc., on consult service and pre‑procedure under Attending supervision.
Evaluate and interpret patient medications, laboratory, and test results.
Coordinate and facilitate referrals and follow‑up for cardiac procedures (Cardiac Cath, EP Studies, Device procedures, Cardiothoracic Surgery).
Perform cardiac procedures including Stress Tests, Stress Echocardiography, Tilt Table Testing, and Nuclear Stress Testing under Attending supervision.
Assist in Cardiac Catheterization Lab procedures.
Perform inpatient cardiovascular consults and monitor and follow‑up patients in the CCU.
Perform non‑invasive cardiac stress testing under Attending supervision.
Schedule: Daytime, with flexibility.
Qualifications
Board Eligible or Board Certified by the NCCPA.
Licensed to practice in New York State.
Experience with ECG and blood pressure monitoring equipment – 1 year experience preferred.
ACLS & BLS Certification.
Wages and Benefits
Annual Base Salary: $131,127 – $174,836 based on a 40‑hour work week and years of state licensure.
The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $144,239 – $192,319, which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, and other factors as set forth below.
401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits) Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
