Overview
nThis position is located in Ft. Stewart, GA at WINN Army Medical Center in the department of Emergency Medicine.
nnnA recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized.

nnSalary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

n nPhysician Assistant (Emergency Medicine)
nSalary Range: Up to- $116,362 per yea

nResponsibilities
nDuties
nnnPerform initial patient work-up by securing a health and medical history from the patient or family members and records findings.
n
nnExamine patients and determine the need for and order laboratory tests, X-rays, physician consultation and other procedures necessary to complete assessment of the patient.
n
nnWrite prescriptions and order the administration of medications in accordance with approved treatment protocols.
n
nnMake clinical decisions and diagnoses disease, illness or injury and works collaboratively with the physician in providing patient care, management and revision of therapeutic plans.
n
nnRecord entries into patient’s chart including daily progress notes with test results, treatment plans and outcomes.

n nQualifications
nUS Citizenship Required
nAt least one year of experience as a certified physician assistant treating patients in an Emergency Hospital setting.
nGraduation from a physician assistant educational program, accredited by the Accreditation Review Committee on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARCPA), or its predecessors, at a college, university, or educational institution that is accredited by an accrediting body or organization recognized by the Secretary, U.S. Department of Education.
nSuccessful completion of the National Commission of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) examination; must maintain status as a certified physician assistant, including completion of all requirements for continuing medical education (CME) and re-certification.
nAll Applicants must be licensed as a Physician Assistant by the recognized licensing agency of a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
