Services include annual physical examinations, routine health screenings, preventive care, chronic disease management, and treatment of acute illnesses for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Our goal is to identify and address health risks early, promote healthy lifestyles, and deliver high-quality, coordinated care that supports long-term health and well-being.To enhance practice operations, increase patient access, and deliver an exceptional patient experience, this role will include a combination of traditional primary care visits and same-day sick appointments. Providers practice autonomously at the top of their licensure while collaborating closely as part of a supportive, team-based care model.We are seeking an experienced, full-time 40-hour Physician Assistant to support our office located at 981 Worcester Street in Wellesley, MA. We are open to our patients Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The position includes 32 hours of direct patient care and 8 hours of administrative time each week. This provider’s administrative day will either be on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.SummaryThe Physician Assistant (PA) is a licensed provider. The PA is responsible for the assessment and management of various populations of patients, medical and/or surgical, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, development of appropriate plans of care and ongoing evaluation. May also perform additional duties, such as precepting a small group of learners.Does this position require Patient Care?YesEssential Functions-Provides direct care, counseling, and teaching to a designated patient population in the ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and/or procedural setting.-Performs complete histories and physical examinations.-Orders, interprets, and evaluates appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests.-Develops appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on the outcomes of diagnostic, laboratory, and physical examination findings.-Orders medications and writes prescriptions according to organizational and regulatory policies and procedures.-Consistently provides high quality and timely documentation including admission and progress notes, procedure notes, operative notes and discharge summaries.-Performs bedside procedures as are appropriate to the patient population.QualificationsEducationMaster's Degree Physician Assistant requiredCan this role accept experience in lieu of a degree?NoLicenses and CredentialsPhysician Assistant (State License) - Generic - HR Only requiredExperience2 years of experience as a PA requiredAdditional Job Details (if applicable)We welcome Physician Assistant applicants of all experience levels.
