nSUMMARY OF POSITION:
nThe Surgical Services Advanced Practice Provider (APP) role offers the opportunity to practice in a fast-paced surgical environment where no two days are the same. The position is well suited for clinicians who thrive in dynamic environments, value autonomy and teamwork, and are looking for a role that offers broad clinical exposure, meaningful responsibility, and continued professional growth.
nThe Surgical Services APP functions as an integral member of the surgical care team, providing comprehensive daytime and overnight clinical support across the perioperative and inpatient continuum. The APP works collaboratively with surgeons, nursing, case management, and ancillary services to facilitate timely clinical decision-making, optimize patient throughput, and promote continuity of care throughout the surgical hospitalization.
nDuring overnight hours, the APP provides cross-coverage for surgical services, responding to urgent and emergent inpatient concerns, postoperative clinical issues, new surgical needs, and emergent operating room requirements within the scope of the role.
