Physician Assistant In General Surgery
Hoag Health, top-ranked health system in Orange County, CA is seeking a skilled and dedicated Physician Assistant in General Surgery to join our growing team! We are seeking research- and mission-oriented Physician Assistants dedicated to patient care. This would be a per diem role providing inpatient coverage at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach, CA.

Details:
Schedule: Weekend coverage needed
Hours: 7:00am – 4:00pm
Location: Newport Beach, CA
Team: General Surgeons, HPB Surgeons, GI Physicians and other specialists within Hoag Health. Hoag also employs several General Surgery Physician Assistants
Duties: Patient rounds, collaboration and communication with provider on service as well as nursing staff to perform patient care, set up follow up for patients upon discharge or post operatively
Requirements:
Completion of a Physician Assistant program from an ACGME accredited program in surgery is required
Preferred: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Surgical PA
Must have or be eligible for California State Physician Assistant licensure
Well versed in the surgical and medical management of general surgery procedures and conditions
A passion for providing excellent clinical care and excellent communication skills and interest in working in a collaborative / team-oriented environment are a must.
Ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital privileges at Hoag Hospital
