An orthopedic practice that is made up of over 70 premier specialists, specializing in sports medicine, joint replacement, arthroscopy, fractures, arthritis, and general orthopedic conditions in adult and pediatric patients. As a Physician Assistant with OrthoArizona, you will get to:
Maintain a patient treatment schedule consistent with the needs of the Physician.
Obtain complete medical history and physical data on patients.
Review patient medical records.
Interpret and integrate data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed.
Perform complete physical exam and records findings.
Order appropriate lab and diagnostic procedures.
Administer injections and medications.
Advise patients regarding health and illness prevention.
Recommend community resources to help patient and family needs.
Instruct patient and family regarding medication and treatment procedures.
Assist physicians in recording patient progress.
Provide monitoring and continuity of care between physician visits.
Provide on call services on assigned basis.
Prioritize work activities based on clinical demands.
All other duties assigned.
Qualifications: Working knowledge of computer programs.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Complete and maintain HCP training.
Understand/Perform training on practice management software.
Continue to expand knowledge of practice management software as updates occur.
Follow all Standard Operating Procedures.
Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from accredited Physician Assistant Program.
Certification from the National Commission on certification of Physician Assistants.
Maintain CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications: 2 years of Physician Assistant experience in a busy orthopedic practice.
