Job Description

Why FMAG

- Independent, community-centered primary care practice serving Wilmington and surrounding communities for more than 26 years.

- Two established locations - Greenhill Avenue and Limestone Road - with a broad and diverse primary-care population.

- A family-oriented team culture built around respect, continuity, flexibility, accessibility, and helping one another.

- Chronic care management, administrative support, and care-coordination infrastructure designed to reduce avoidable clerical burden on clinicians.

- Scribe support may be available so clinicians can spend more time with patients and less time on repetitive EHR documentation.

- Integrated behavioral-health support and a growing same-day/walk-in model.

- Direct access to practice leadership and the opportunity to help shape workflows, technology, and service-line growth without the layers of a large hospital system.

- Opportunity to work closely with physicians and advanced-practice colleagues in a setting where questions and collaboration are welcomed.

- A role that can grow with the clinician's experience, strengths, and interests.

The Opportunity

The PA-C role supports comprehensive outpatient primary care, same-day access, continuity, and chronic-disease management. Candidates with family medicine, internal medicine, urgent care, or broad outpatient experience are especially attractive.

Pediatric and geriatric experience are valuable. Patient age groups and clinical scope will be matched to training, demonstrated competency, and practice requirements.

Core Responsibilities

- Provide preventive, acute, chronic-disease, and follow-up care in an outpatient primary-care setting.

- Evaluate same-day/walk-in concerns and provide appropriate cross-coverage for established patients.

- See pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients when supported by training, experience, collaboration, and practice protocols.

- Perform focused histories and physical examinations, develop treatment plans, prescribe as authorized, and educate patients.

- Order and interpret laboratory testing, diagnostic studies, imaging, and referrals within scope.

- Perform office-based procedures and point-of-care testing within competency and privileging.

- Collaborate closely with physicians and the broader clinical support team.

- Participate in preventive-care, quality, chronic-care, and population-health initiatives.

- Provide telehealth and occasional Saturday or extended-hour coverage as mutually scheduled.

- Maintain timely and accurate EHR documentation and contribute to workflow improvement. Family Medicine at Greenhill is an equal opportunity employer. Employment decisions are based on qualifications, experience, business needs, and applicable law.

Compensation and benefits are subject to final approval, plan terms, credentialing, and the applicable employment agreement.

Required Qualifications

- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.

- Current NCCPA certification.

- Current or eligible Delaware PA licensure.

- DEA registration and Delaware controlled-substance authority when required for assigned duties.

- Current BLS certification or ability to obtain before start date.

- Ability to obtain and maintain payer credentialing.

- Strong communication, documentation, and team-based practice skills.

Preferred Experience - Not Required

- Five or more years of family medicine, primary care, urgent care, or comparable outpatient experience.

- Pediatric and geriatric experience.

- Experience with EHRs, chronic care management, preventive-care metrics, annual wellness visits, and value-based care.

- Comfort with common office procedures and point-of-care diagnostics.

- New graduates with strong training, good judgment, and a collaborative mindset are encouraged to apply.

What We Offer

- Competitive compensation based on experience, schedule, scope, and qualifications

- Paid time off for eligible W-2 employees, subject to plan terms and practice policy

- Malpractice coverage for eligible clinical roles

- Health, dental, vision, and other insurance benefits for eligible employees, subject to plan terms

- 401(k) participation for eligible employees, subject to plan terms

- Supportive onboarding and mentorship for new graduates and early-career clinicians

- Potential productivity and/or quality incentives depending on role and final employment structure

- Opportunity to participate in practice growth, clinical workflow improvement, and new service development

Schedule & Practice Model

- Outpatient position based at one of FMAG's Wilmington locations, with reasonable cross-coverage as needed.

- Mix of scheduled primary-care visits, same-day/walk-in visits, telehealth, and chronic follow-up.

- Occasional extended-hour or Saturday coverage may be incorporated by mutual scheduling.

- Clinical scope and panel design are tailored to credentials, experience, and demonstrated competence. Company Description
