Sansum Clinic, part of Sutter Health, is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our established Endocrinology team in beautiful Santa Barbara, California.

With a Monday-Friday daytime schedule, no call, no hospital responsibilities, and a manageable patient volume of 12-16 patients per day , you'll have the time and resources to build meaningful patient relationships while delivering high-quality, personalized endocrine care.
Opportunities are available in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo , two of California's most desirable coastal communities.
Opportunity Information
Position: Physician Assistant - Endocrinology
Location: Santa Barbara, CA (additional opportunity in San Luis Obispo)
Employment: Full-Time | 1.0 FTE
Schedule: Monday-Friday, Daytime Hours
Practice Setting: 100% Outpatient
Practice Highlights:
Excellent Work-Life Balance: Monday-Friday schedule with no call or hospital responsibilities.
Manageable Patient Volume: Approximately 12-16 patients per day, allowing time for personalized care.
Collaborative Team: Work alongside experienced endocrinologists, registered nurses, diabetes educators, and dedicated clinical support staff.
Dedicated Clinical Support: One medical assistant per provider.
Established Practice: Join a respected Endocrinology team with an established patient population.
Continuity of Care: Build long-term relationships with patients while managing chronic endocrine conditions.
Balanced Schedule: 36 patient-care hours per week, with approximately 10% of the workload dedicated to administrative responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive outpatient care for patients with endocrine disorders.
Diagnose, treat, and manage Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes and other endocrine-related conditions.
Conduct routine follow-up appointments and accommodate urgent add-on visits.
Develop individualized treatment plans focused on long-term disease management.
Educate patients on medications, nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle modifications.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, diabetes educators, and other members of the multidisciplinary care team.
Promote preventive care, patient education, and continuity of care.
Compensation & Financial Benefits
Annual Salary: $130,000-$180,000
Two-year income guarantee.

Continuing Medical Education (CME) stipend.
Coverage of eligible licensure, DEA, and board examination fees.
Qualifications
Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
Directly related clinical experience in Endocrinology.
Strong clinical knowledge of diabetes management and endocrine disorders.
Interest in longitudinal care and managing chronic conditions over time.
Current California license or ability to obtain California licensure.
Active DEA registration and/or California furnishing license, as applicable.
Authorization to work in the United States.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills.
