Physician Assistant | Geriatrics Location: Eugene, OR Employer: Lancesoft Inc Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position We are seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to provide comprehensive medical care to residents in skilled nursing and long term care facilities throughout the Eugene area. The PA will independently evaluate and manage acute and chronic medical conditions within their scope of practice while collaborating closely with physicians and interdisciplinary facility teams. • Perform comprehensive histories, physical examinations, admission assessments & follow up visits • Evaluate, diagnose & manage acute and chronic medical conditions • Develop individualized treatment plans & prescribe medications and therapies within scope of practice • Order, review & interpret laboratory tests, imaging & other diagnostic studies • Address diagnostic results promptly • Provide post hospital follow up & transitional care • Assess changes in residents’ cognitive, behavioral, functional & medical status • Educate residents, families & caregivers regarding diagnoses, treatment options & care plans • Participate in interdisciplinary care planning with nursing, therapy, dietary, social services & administrative teams • Coordinate care with collaborating physicians & specialists • Support efforts to reduce avoidable ED visits & hospital readmissions • Maintain accurate & timely EMR documentation • Comply with CMS, state & facility requirements Requirements • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program • Active, unrestricted Oregon PA license or ability to obtain • National board certification or board eligibility by start date • DEA registration & prescriptive authority, or ability to obtain • National Provider Identifier (NPI) • Eligibility to participate in Medicare & Medicaid • Current BLS certification614ebcce-2988-4a21-9a10-1fc0c5beffbb
