Role Description
This is a full-time Physician Assistant role in behavioral health, structured as a hybrid position based in Shalimar, FL with some work-from-home flexibility. The Physician Assistant will conduct psychiatric evaluations, follow-up medication management visits, and ongoing monitoring of treatment effectiveness and safety. Daily responsibilities include reviewing patient histories, documenting encounters in the medical record, coordinating care with therapists and other providers, and educating patients and families about diagnoses and treatment plans. The role also involves managing prescription refills, responding to patient inquiries, adhering to regulatory and payer requirements, and participating in team meetings to support integrated mental health care.

Qualifications
Current Physician Assistant license in the state of Florida and graduation from an accredited PA program.
Demonstrated ability to conduct psychiatric assessments, manage psychotropic medications, and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
Strong clinical documentation skills and proficiency with electronic health records and telehealth platforms.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient education skills, with a focus on trauma-informed and culturally sensitive care.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and exercise sound clinical judgment with appropriate supervision and consultation.
Organizational and time‑management skills to manage a full‑time caseload in a hybrid in‑person and remote environment.
CPR/BLS certification and familiarity with relevant state and federal regulations related to mental health and controlled substances.
Prior experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in outpatient behavioral health is strongly preferred.
