This is an excellent opportunity for a PA who enjoys developing meaningful relationships with patients, working collaboratively with experienced physicians, and helping individuals improve their function, mobility, and quality of life.

We welcome both experienced Physician Assistants and motivated new graduates who are interested in developing their clinical skills in musculoskeletal and spine medicine. Prior experience in PM&R, orthopedics, sports medicine, neurology, or pain management is beneficial but not required.

Our practice offers a collaborative clinical environment with opportunities for professional growth and exposure to a variety of conservative and interventional treatment approaches.

Key Responsibilities

* Evaluate and manage patients with spine, musculoskeletal, and other conditions commonly treated in physical medicine and rehabilitation.

* Obtain comprehensive medical histories, perform physical examinations, and develop individualized treatment plans.

* Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic studies, including imaging and laboratory testing.

* Prescribe medications and recommend therapeutic interventions within the PA's authorized scope of practice.

* Provide follow-up care, monitor treatment progress, and adjust management plans as clinically appropriate.

* Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, chiropractors, medical assistants, and other members of the care team to coordinate patient care.

* Educate patients regarding their diagnoses, treatment options, rehabilitation, injury prevention, and overall musculoskeletal health.

* Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation in the electronic medical record.

* Participate in appropriate in-office procedures based on training, experience, and clinical competency.

* Contribute to a positive, professional, patient-centered clinical environment.

Qualifications

Required:

* Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.

* Current New York State PA license and registration, or eligibility to obtain licensure before employment.

* NCCPA certification or eligibility for certification.

* Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and commitment to quality patient care.

* Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and clinical support staff.

* Strong organizational skills and attention to clinical documentation.

Preferred but Not Required:

* Experience in physical medicine and rehabilitation, orthopedics, sports medicine, neurology, primary care, or pain management.

* Familiarity with outpatient clinical workflows and electronic medical records.

* Experience evaluating and managing musculoskeletal and spine conditions.

New graduates are encouraged to apply. Candidates should demonstrate a willingness to learn, an interest in musculoskeletal medicine, and a desire to build a long-term career in an outpatient specialty practice.

Why Join Buffalo Spine & Sports Medicine?

* Specialized outpatient medicine: Build expertise in spine care, rehabilitation, musculoskeletal conditions, and nonsurgical treatment approaches.

* Physician collaboration: Work alongside experienced PM&R physicians with opportunities for clinical mentorship and professional development.

* Multidisciplinary care: Collaborate with providers offering physical therapy, chiropractic care, diagnostic testing, and interventional treatment options.

* Professional growth: Expand your knowledge of musculoskeletal evaluations, diagnostic imaging, and comprehensive treatment planning.

* Established local practice: Join a physician-led medical group serving patients throughout Western New York.

* Meaningful patient relationships: Help patients manage pain, restore function, and improve their quality of life.
