JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: A-MD-68889 Profession: Physician Specialty: Cardiology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Omaha, NE Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Coverage Period: Dec 01, 2026 Ongoing Shift Schedule: 8a-4:30p (onsite) with potential night call 4:30p-8a Call Type: Phone Call Reason for Coverage: Gaps in coverage PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adults Average Daily Volume: 5-8 per campus (4 campuses) Rounding: Included (weekdays with APP support) Phone Consults: Yes Case Mix: General Cardiology FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Epic Specialty Backup Available: Cardiology fellows (in-house first call) Support Staff Available: APPs (weekdays only) PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Credentialing Timeline: 90 days REQUIRED PROCEDURES General Cardiology ECHO TEE EKG Stress Test JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: Board Certified in Cardiology Licenses: Active NE license or Universal License (IMLC); Active IA license or IMLC preferred DEA: Active DEA Certification Certifications: ACLS, BLS Other Qualifications: Must disclose specific dates available for coverage between Dec 1, 2026 Feb 28, 2027; acknowledge night call coverage at all 4 sites; detail shifts per month ongoing; clean malpractice/background Duties & Responsibilities Provide onsite general cardiology coverage during day shifts (8a-4:30p) across multiple campuses. Perform and interpret cardiac diagnostic procedures including ECHO, TEE, EKG, and Stress Tests. Manage night call coverage (4:30p-8a) via phone consults for four hospital locations, with rare in-person evaluation. Collaborate with APP support for inpatient rounds on weekdays. Communicate with in-house fellows for first-call management at the academic medical center hub.
