JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: L-MD-91632 Profession: Physician Specialty: Cardiology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Walla Walla, WA Service Setting: Outpatient, Inpatient Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Coverage Period: Nov 30, 2026 Ongoing Shift Schedule: Mon Fri, 7a 5p (8-hour shifts) On-Call Shift Schedule: Weeknights (after clinic hours) and weekends (24-hour call) Call Type: Beeper Call Ratio: 2:4 Call Response Time: 20 minutes Callback Rate: Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Malpractice insurance provided by vendor; travel and lodging discussed on bid PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 15 patients/day Admissions: TBD Phone Consults: Yes Case Mix: General Cardiology, Invasive diagnostics, ICU FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Epic Support Staff: RNs: 3, MAs: 1, PA/NPs: 5, Office Staff: 3 PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Temporary Privileges Available: Yes REQUIRED PROCEDURES Required Outpatient - Cardiology Inpatient - Cardiology ICU Non-invasive Echocardiography TEE (Transesophageal Echo) Nuclear Cardiology (Cardiolyte, thallium, etc.) Atherectomy Electrophysiology Cardiac ablation Permanent pacemaker placement Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (AICD/ICD) Preferred Invasive cardiology - diagnostic only PA catheter placement IABP (Intra Aortic Balloon pump) placement Cardiac catheterization Invasive cardiology - Interventional Angioplasty - PTCA Intracoronary stent placement JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC required, Certified Licenses: Licensed in WA, Universal License (IMLC) DEA: Required Certifications: ACLS Other Qualifications: Epic EMR proficiency Duties & Responsibilities Provide outpatient cardiology consultations and follow-up care. Manage inpatient cardiology patients including ICU. Perform and interpret echocardiography, TEE, nuclear cardiology, and other non-invasive tests. Participate in a 2-week per month call schedule covering weeknights and weekends. Optionally perform invasive diagnostic procedures such as diagnostic cardiac catheterization.
