JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Interventional Cardiology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Palmer, AK Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Coverage Period: Aug 01, 2026 Ongoing Call Type: Beeper Call Ratio: 50% Call Response Time: 30 minutes Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered by Agency PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 15 patients/day Admissions: 1 Rounding: Both Phone Consults: 2 FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Cerner & Athena Support Staff: RNs: 2, MAs: 4, PA/NPs: 2, Office Staff: 2 PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: No Temporary Privileges Available: No JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: Board Eligible Licenses: Licensed in AK Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ABLS Fellowship: Required Duties & Responsibilities Provide interventional cardiology coverage approximately 2 weeks per month, ongoing. Manage inpatient and outpatient cardiology services, including rounding and admissions. Perform diagnostic catheterizations, angioplasty, stent placement, and other interventional procedures. Participate in beeper call with a 30-minute response time, handling phone consults as needed. Document patient encounters accurately in Cerner and Athena EMR systems.
