Locum Tenens: Interventional Cardiology Physician Near Pikeville, KY We are seeking an experienced and board-certified Interventional Cardiology Physician for a locum tenens opportunity near Pikeville, KY. This position is available ASAP and will continue on an ongoing basis. The role focuses on inpatient care, providing call-only coverage for a busy cardiology department. This locum tenens assignment offers flexibility with a competitive rate, ideal for physicians looking to supplement their practice or explore locum tenens work.

Job Duties: Provide on-call interventional cardiology services for a 60-bed department
Handle 10 patients per shift, with responsibilities including rounding and providing specialized cardiology care as needed
Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures, with no outpatient clinic responsibilities
Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure continuity of care for admitted patients
Participate in call coverage to support the full-time staff and provide expertise during critical times
Required Qualifications:
Board Certification: Yes, must be Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology
Fellowship: Required
Licensing: Active Kentucky state license or eligibility through IMLC
Certifications: ACLS
BLS
EMR System: MediTech
Credentialing Timeframe: Estimated 14 days for temporary privileges
Additional Details: No hospital/surgery center admissions required
