JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Interventional Cardiology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Las Cruces, NM Service Setting: Inpatient Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Coverage Period: ASAP Ongoing Call Type: Beeper Call Ratio: 1:4 Call Response Time: 30 minutes Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 10-15 Admissions: 5-10 Phone Consults: 15 FACILITY INFORMATION Trauma Level: III EMR System: Medhost Support Staff: RNs: 2, PA/NPs: 1, Office Staff: 1 PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Temporary Privileges Available: Yes JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: Board Certified Licenses: Licensed in NM Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS, ABLS Duties & Responsibilities Provide call coverage for interventional cardiology services Read and interpret echocardiograms Manage inpatient cardiology consults Provide on-call coverage as needed Collaborate with hospital staff and specialists
