Locum Tenens Opportunity Near Hiltons, VA Specialty: Internal Medicine - Interventional Cardiology

We are seeking an experienced Interventional Cardiologist for a locum tenens position near Hiltons, VA. This opportunity is ideal for a physician who is available to provide coverage for an extended period, offering a well-structured schedule and comprehensive support.

Position Highlights: Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours Only

Practice Setting: Inpatient

EMR System: Athena & Meditech

Shift Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily

Cath Lab: 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Clinic: 1:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Practice Details: Patients Per Shift: 4-5

Rounding: Assigned Patients

License Requirement: Licensed in VA

Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 30 days

Temporary Privileges: Available

Hospital Stroke Certification: Yes

Required Certifications: ACLS: Required

BLS: Not required

PALS: Not required

ABLS: Not required

ATLS: Not required

Description/Other Details: The position involves working primarily in the Cath Lab and seeing consults on the units. The schedule includes:

Orientation: First day only

Cath Lab Work: 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Clinic Hours: 1:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Procedures and Equipment Used:

GE Cath Unit

IVUS

Balloon Pump

TEE (Transesophageal Echocardiography)

Stress Echo

Thoracic Echo

Nuclear Medicine Stress
