nCHKD Health System operates Virginia’s only freestanding, full-service children’s hospital located in Norfolk, Virginia, and its pediatric practices, multi-service health centers, and urgent cares throughout southeastern Virginia and northeastern North Carolina. n nAs a CMG Pediatrician, your responsibilities include:
nnnProviding high-quality, compassionate pediatric care in an outpatient clinic setting.
n
nnDiagnosing and treating acute and chronic medical conditions in children.
n
nnBuilding strong connections with patients and families, and fostering a supportive environment.
n
nnParticipating in rotating on-call duties as needed.
n
nnCollaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including subspecialists, nursing staff, and on-call triage.
n
nnEnsuring patient care is aligned with best practices and medical guidelines .
n
nnEngaging in continuing medical education and professional development.
n
n nApplicants must meet these qualifications:
nnnBoard eligible or board certified in pediatrics (if board eligible, certification must be obtained within 2 years of residency completion).
n
nnMust possess a valid Virginia medical license .
n
nnStrong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care .
n
nnAbility to build excellent rapport with children and families.
