Job description
Family Medicine / Internal Medicine Physician | Urgent Care
Job Summary
Bring your hospital and ER experience to a clinic setting. Treat patients of all ages across urgent care and family medicine locations throughout Jacksonville, with a steady Monday to Friday schedule.
What You'll Do
Examine, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages for acute injuries, infections, and illnesses
Counsel and educate patients and families on acute and chronic conditions and preventive health
Develop diagnostic and treatment plans
Prescribe and administer medications and therapies, and perform suturing and splinting
Order lab and imaging studies and provide follow-up care recommendations
Refer patients to specialists or higher levels of care when appropriate
Provide and supervise on-site intravenous infusion therapy
Supervise NPs, PAs, and nursing staff, review quality of care, and sign off on charts as required
Keep accurate, timely documentation in the EMR
Deliver exceptional patient care and service
What You Bring
Valid Florida medical license (MD/DO)
Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
Hospital and emergency room experience
Florida DEA (if applicable) and Federal DEA registration
Current ACLS certification
Comfort with on-site IV infusion therapy
Proficiency with EMR systems
Excellent communication skills and sound clinical judgment
Current driver's license
Authorization to work in the United States
Completion of TB testing and required vaccinations per company policy
Nice to Have
5+ years of post-residency experience
Urgent care and outpatient clinic experience
Bilingual English/Spanish
Schedule
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Hours may occasionally vary with patient volume
Occasional coverage at other clinic locations in the Jacksonville area
