Meaningful Patient Interactions:Provide essential care to patients presenting to the emergency department, utilizing your clinical skills to assess, stabilize, and initiate treatment plans. Work-Life Balance:Maintain a predictable schedule with night shifts (5:00 pm - 6:00 am) and no call responsibilities. You'll typically cover 10-12 night shifts per month, allowing for ample personal time. Supportive Work Environment:Work collaboratively with a team of dedicated nurses and have access to essential diagnostic services to support your patient care decisions. Temporary privileges are available for qualified candidates. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including history taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for a variety of acute medical conditions. Perform essential stabilization procedures. Collaborate effectively with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care. Document patient care accurately and efficiently within the Epic electronic medical records system. Qualifications for Success: Current board certification in emergency medicine is mandatory. Valid and active Wisconsin state license or willingness to obtain temporary privileges through the Interstate Medical License Compact (IMLC) is required. Minimum of two years of clinical experience in emergency medicine is preferred. Current certifications in ACLS, PALS, ATLS, and BLS are mandatory. Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills are crucial.
