Annual Patient Volume:
\ NApproximately 28,000–30,000 visits annually
\ NPatient Acuity:
\ NMedium acuity
Patient Volume:
\ NApproximately 2.0–2.3 patients per hour
\ NClinical Responsibilities:
\ NEvaluation and managementof emergency department patients
\ NEmergency stabilization and treatment
\ NCollaboration with APCs and hospital staff
\ NParticipation in emergency department quality and patient care initiatives
\ NSupport & Technology
\ NSupport Staff:
\ NAdvanced Practice Clinician coverage
\ NDedicated scribes available
\ NCollaborative emergency department team
\ NEMR System:
\ NEpic
Requirements
\ NBoard Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM) – Preferred
\ NBoard Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (ABFM) with a minimum of two years of recent, continuous emergency medicine experience – Accepted
\ NMinimum two years of straight emergency medicine experience – Required
\ NOrganization & Team
\ NEstablished emergency medicine program
\ NCollaborative physician and APC staffing model
\ NStrong clinical support resources
\ NEfficient workflow processes with scribe support
