JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: A-MD-69715 Profession: Physician Specialty: Emergency Medicine Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Council Bluffs, IA Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: ASAP Ongoing Shift Schedule: 630a-230p / 130p-1030p / 930p-630a 4-12 shifts per month Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Travel, Lodging, Malpractice Insurance covered PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: Approx. 60 patients per day Annual Volume: 22,% Admissions, 77% Discharges, 4% LBTC, 2.8% Observation, 2.5% Transfers FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Epic Support Staff Available: APPs (12-20 hours coverage) PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Credentialing Timeline: 60 days JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC/BE (EM) Licenses: IA or IMLC DEA: Active Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Experience: Actively practicing for last 12 months or recent residency completion Duties & Responsibilities Perform routine emergency department duties including evaluation and management of patients. Manage medical codes and resuscitations. Provide patient care in the ER setting, including admissions and transfers. Collaborate with advanced practice providers (APPs) and support staff. Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and order entry.
