Are you an Emergency Medicine Physician seeking a locum tenens opportunity in North Carolina? This position near Jamesville offers a rewarding opportunity to provide care in a dynamic emergency setting.Key Details: Location: Near Jamesville, North Carolina Start Date: January 6, 2025 Duration: 612 months with a minimum of two shifts per month Shifts: 12-hour shifts Options: 7 AM7 PM, 11 AM11 PM, or 7 PM7 AM Patient Volume: Annual ED visits: 46,000; Average daily census: 124 Admission Rate: Approximately 13% On-Site Support: 32.5 hours of Advanced Practice Provider (APP) coverage dailyRequirements: Board Certification: Board-certified or board-eligible (up to five years post-graduation) in Emergency Medicine Residency Training: ACGME-accredited program Certifications: NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required Board-certified physicians exempt from ACLS but must meet sedation requirements Licensing: Willing to license; an active state license not required to apply Experience with EMR Systems: Epic charting experience preferredPrivileges and Onboarding: Expedited privileges available for candidates with a clean file, active license, DEA, and completed application. Privileging timeframe: 6090 days; expedited process available for onboarding in two weeks if scheduled.
