Job description
A Critical Access Hospital in Massachusetts is seeking a Board Certified Emergency Medicine physician for a 3-month locum tenens assignment beginning in September. This is an excellent opportunity for EM physicians who enjoy community-based practice and working in a rural hospital environment with strong clinical autonomy.Position Highlights: 1013 shifts per month September coverage includes evenings and nights (3p12a and 10p7a) OctoberDecember coverage is nights only (7p7a) 25-bed Emergency Department Average daily census of 2024 patients Approximately 2.53 patients per hour 14% pediatric patient volume EPIC EMR system Housing provided plus ferry transportation coveredPractice Setting: Critical Access Hospital with limited onsite specialty support Seeking physicians comfortable practicing independently in a community/rural environment Scheduled shifts only no call requiredRequirements: Board Certified in Emergency Medicine REQUIRED No Internal Medicine or Family Practice physicians accepted Active Massachusetts license required ACLS certification required DEA required Minimum 1 year of Emergency Medicine experienceAdditional Details: Credentialing timeframe: approximately 34 months Hospital is not willing to license candidates Name clear requires full name and NPI numberIf interested, please apply with your updated CV and availability for consideration.
