JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Emergency Medicine Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Ada & Ardmore, OK Service Setting: Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: ASAP Jan 29, 2027 Shift Schedule: 8-12-hr shifts Urgent need: Nights, Weekends and Holidays Ada: 6a-6p, 11a-11p, 12p-12a, 6p-6a Ardmore: 6a-4p, 7a-6p, 11a-11p, 4p-3a, 6p-6a 8-10 shifts/month Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered by Agency PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 20-25 Annual Volume: 40,000 (Ardmore) Admission Rate: 15% FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: 17 Trauma Level: Level III EMR System: Epic Specialty Backup Available: Cardiology, Nephrology, Surgery, Podiatry, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, Urology, Tele-Neurology, Hospitalist Support Staff: RNs: 6, MAs: 3, PA/NPs: 1-2, Office Staff: 2 24-hr Services: Anesthesia, General Surgery, Laboratory, OR Response Time, Radiology L&D Department is available PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: Board Certified Licenses: Licensed in OK or IMLC Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Duties & Responsibilities Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients in the Emergency Department. Perform emergency procedures such as central line placement, intubations, and other resuscitative measures. Manage patient volume of 20-25 patients per day, including admissions and discharges. Collaborate with consulting specialists (cardiology, surgery, etc.) as needed. Work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
