Emergency Medicine Physician Opportunity Location: Virginia Specialty: Emergency Medicine EMR: Epic Annual Volume: 16,000 visits Hospital Size: 44 beds Opportunity Highlights 12-hour physician shifts 9-hour mid-level coverage Approximately 16,000 annual ED visits Epic EMR New graduates may be considered EM residency graduates within the past 12 months may be considered 3-month proctorship required for applicable candidates Candidate Requirements MD or DO from an accredited medical school Completion of an ACGME/AOA-approved 3-year residency in EM, FM, or IM ECFMG certification required for foreign medical graduates Active, unrestricted Virginia medical license Active VA DEA with Virginia address DEA schedules II, IIN, III, IIIN, IV, and V Board Certification Accepting: ABEM AOBEM ABMS-certified Emergency Medicine ABMS-certified Family Medicine ABMS-certified Internal Medicine Certifications For providers who are not EM board certified or EM trained: ACLS ATLS PALS NRP required for non-ABEM providers Credentialing Requirements MMR and Varicella vaccines or positive immunity titers TB testing within the past 12 months or QuantiFERON Gold within 3 months Second TB test required before activation/privileges Chest X-ray within 3 months if TB history or QuantiFERON is positive Current-season flu vaccination Case logs from the previous 2 years Documentation of specialized training for special procedures, if applicable Preeclampsia CME required initially and every 2 years for reappointment Malpractice $2.7M per occurrence / $8.1M annual aggregate Great opportunity for an EM physician seeking a supportive practice environment with established mid-level coverage, Epic EMR, and consideration for qualified recent graduates.
