JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: H-MD-Winchester Medical Center-AP-Physician-0016 Profession: Physician Specialty: Emergency Medicine Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Winchester, Virginia Facility: Winchester Medical Center Health System: SCP Health - Locums Coverage Period: Jul 31, 2026 Ongoing Shift Schedule: Various shifts including 7a-7p, 9a-8p, 10-10p, 1p-1a, 4p-3a, 7p-7a Reason for Coverage: Coverage Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: 495 beds (facility total) Trauma Level: Level III EMR System: EPIC JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine (ABEM) DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients presenting to the Emergency Department. Perform emergency procedures as needed (e.g., intubation, central line placement, etc.). Manage patient cases across multiple Valley Health sites (Winchester, Shenandoah Memorial, Warren Memorial, Page Memorial) as a cross-credentialed physician. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including nurses, APPs, and specialty backup. Document all patient encounters accurately and timely in EPIC EMR.
