What You ll DoProvide emergency medical care to a diverse patient population

Collaborate with APCs, physicians, and specialty teams such as General Surgery and Orthopedics

Support telestroke and Tele ICU services to enhance patient care

Utilize onsite UW helicopter for rapid patient transport when needed

Document patient care thoroughly and efficiently

Participate in coverage continuity for ongoing needs in 2027

Maintain compliance with hospital policies and protocols

What You Need

Required:

Wisconsin Medical License (or eligibility to obtain one)

Experience in Emergency Medicine or Acute Care settings

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:

Certification in ACLS, ATLS, or PALS

Prior telemedicine or telehealth experience

About the Assignment

This opportunity is based at a leading facility in Portage, WI, located just 30 minutes from Madison and 20 minutes from Wisconsin Dells and scenic tourist spots. The emergency department manages approximately 40-60 patients daily, staffed by a dedicated team including APCs and physicians. With access to advanced telemedicine services and a UW helicopter on site, this assignment provides excellent support and resources to deliver top-tier emergency care.
