nUnityPoint Clinic is a physician-led, nonprofit health care organization offering comprehensive services in primary care, walk-in care and specialty care. nnEstablished practice serving the Hiawatha and NE Cedar Rapids community

nnOpportunity to practice outpatient medicine in an established and well-known clinic

nnCohesive group of colleagues and supportive staff allowing for autonomy while building the practice according to your preferences

nnExperienced staff, both clinical and non-clinical, who know the patients and the community

nnFull-time position, including dedicated administrative time, with flexible scheduling to ensure sufficient patient access
n
nn24/7 hospitalist program is responsible for adult and pediatric inpatients
n
nnFully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination

nResponsibilities
nnnNo Nights or Weekends
n
nnShared call amongst the providers. Currently 1:12 weekdays, and 1:18 weekends (2-3 per year); Calls are first triaged through MyNurse
n
nnAbility to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve
n
nnGeneral family medicine procedures such as joint injections, skin excisions, lacerations, casting, etc.
n
nnEvaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care
n
nnPatient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
n
nnExcellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills
n
n nQualifications
nnnMD or DO
n
nnBoard Eligible or Board Certified in Family Medicine
n
nnAbility to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa
n
nnHold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician’s field of practice
n
nnEligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)
