nUnityPoint Clinic is a physician-led, nonprofit health care organization offering comprehensive services in primary care, walk-in care and specialty care. The clinical teams at the area’s clinics are improving outcomes, lowering the number of hospital readmissions and reducing avoidable costs associated with treating chronic conditions. nnnFull-time position, including dedicated administrative time, with flexible scheduling to ensure sufficient patient access
n
nn36 direct patient care hours, 4 hours of administrative time
n
nnChance to build your own practice with a full, established patient panel and supportive staff allowing for autonomy while building the practice according to your preferences
n
nnExperienced staff, both clinical and non-clinical, who know the patients and the community
n
nnFully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination
n
n nResponsibilities
nnnClinic hours Monday-Friday 8-5 PM
n
nnOutpatient only with Average 18-20+ patients per day
n
nnLight phone-only call, first triaged through the UnityPoint Call Center
n
nnContinuation of established nursing home patient care as part of the practice
n
nnAbility to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve
n
nnGeneral family medicine procedures such as joint injections, skin excisions, lacerations, casting, joint injections etc.
n
nnEvaluate, interpret, and coordinate information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care
n
nnPatient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
n
nnExcellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills
n
n nQualifications
nnnMD or DO
n
nnBoard Eligible or Board Certified in Family Medicine
n
nnAbility to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa
n
nnHold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician’s field of practice
n
nnEligible to work in the United States (J-1 and H1-B cap exempt)
