JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: H-MD- -1 Profession: Physician Specialty: Internal Medicine Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Newington, Connecticut Coverage Period: Nov 02, 2026 Apr 26, 2027 Shift Schedule: Days, 10 hrs Mon/Fri, 4 hrs Wed (24 hrs/week) Reason for Coverage: Coverage Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 16 patients per day Case Mix: Outpatient primary care, Adult 18+ Support Staff Available: Medical Assistant (MA) PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Not required (Outpatient clinic) JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC/BE in Internal Medicine Licenses: Active Connecticut medical license required DEA / CDS: Required Certifications: BLS required Experience: Outpatient primary care experience preferred DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care services to adult patients (18+). Manage a patient volume of approximately 2 patients per hour. Collaborate with supporting Medical Assistants (MAs) to ensure efficient clinic operations. Maintain thorough and accurate medical records for all patient encounters. Adhere to a weekly schedule requiring 10-hour shifts on Monday and Friday and a 4-hour shift on Wednesday.
