Job description
A mission-driven community health organization serving rural Eastern North Carolina, 30 miles from Raleigh , is seeking a Family Medicine Physician to provide comprehensive outpatient primary care. Position Highlights: Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care Care for patients across the lifespan Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions Conduct patient evaluations and prescribe medications Order labs and imaging as clinically appropriate Manage chronic diseases and support patient self-management Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams Participate in case reviews, team huddles, and patient-centered health initiatives Mentor and precept other clinicians Engage in continuing education and quality improvement Team-based care in a supportive clinical environment Meaningful opportunity to serve rural and underserved populations Qualifications: MD or DO Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine Valid North Carolina medical license Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association Minimum 1 year of experience preferred Experience with rural or underserved populations preferred Familiarity with team-based care or PCMH/PCHH models preferred Compensation & Benefits: Competitive compensation Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with matching Generous PTO, including paid holidays and vacation accrual Employee Assistance Program On-the-job training and certification support Career advancement and leadership development opportunities Potential eligibility for National Health Service Corps loan repayment Location & Lifestyle: Enjoy the welcoming pace and close-knit atmosphere of rural Eastern North Carolina, where residents benefit from affordable living, friendly communities, outdoor recreation, and a strong connection to the region s natural beauty.
