Description:
The position involves providing gastroenterology services.
Responsibilities include rounding on inpatient admissions and performing procedures.
The average patient load includes 16 in the clinic and 14-16 in the outpatient endoscopy center.
The candidate must perform required procedures, including colonoscopy, EGD, flex sigmoidoscopy, dilation, and general GI procedures.
Participation in both inpatient and outpatient settings is required.
The candidate will collaborate with other gastroenterologists as part of the practice.
Documentation of ongoing clinical practice for requested privileges must be provided if applicable.
A summary of supervised training for specific advanced procedures is required if training was completed in the last two years.
Candidates must be open to performing various procedures and take emergency calls as needed.
General GI call participation is expected.
Availability for outpatient procedures is necessary, including in situations that may require backup for ERCP.
Flexibility to scope patients in the outpatient hospital block is also essential.
