JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: L-MD-98946 Profession: Physician Specialty: Gastroenterology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Largo, MD 20774 Service Setting: Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: ASAP Ongoing Shift Schedule: Mon Fri, 8a 5p Reason for Coverage: Vacancy - Long-Term Permanent Search Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered by Agency PATIENT INFORMATION Case Mix: GI endoscopy and colonoscopy FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Epic PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes REQUIRED PROCEDURES Required: Upper GI endoscopy (with biopsy, with foreign body removal, with fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser Small Bowel biopsy Lower GI endoscopy Sigmoidoscopy (Flexible) Colonoscopy (with biopsy, with excision of polyp) Preferred: Esophageal dilatation/manometry Esophageal manometry interpretation JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: Board certification required Licenses: Licensed in MD or Universal License (IMLC) Certifications: BLS, ACLS Fellowship: Required Duties & Responsibilities Perform upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures Administer moderate sedation alongside nursing staff Interpret endoscopic findings and manage patient care Document procedures in Epic EMR Collaborate with support staff for patient management
