Locum Tenens Gastroenterologist Opportunity - Near Sacramento, CAWe are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Gastroenterologist for a locum tenens position near Sacramento, CA. This role involves providing both clinic-based consultative care and performing GI procedures. The ideal candidate will be available to work for at least six months to a year. This opportunity offers a chance to work in a dynamic clinical environment and assist with the backlog of diagnostic and screening procedures.Position Details: Specialty: Gastroenterology Shift Type: Days Shift Times: Weekdays: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM Monday through Friday Assignment Duration: ASAP - Ongoing (6 months to a year)Primary Duties: Setting: Clinic and outpatient Procedures: Colonoscopy and endoscopy, 2-3 days per week Patient Load: 16-20 patients per day in the clinic 8-10 procedures per day in the outpatient center Consultative and Follow-Up Care: Provide care in the ambulatory clinic setting Support Staff: Assigned medical assistant and procedure schedulerKey Responsibilities: Clinic Setting: The provider will work 5 days a week in an outpatient clinic setting. GI Procedures: Perform routine GI procedures such as colonoscopies and endoscopies. Call: Minimal call responsibilities, primary focus is clinic and procedures.Requirements: Board Certification/Eligibility: Gastroenterology State License: Active California license required Gastroenterology Fellowship: Strongly preferred Malpractice: Clean malpractice history strongly preferredEMR System: Cerner: Experience with Cerner EMR preferredCredentialing: Emergency/Temporary Privileges: Not available Start Date: ASAP - OngoingThis is an excellent opportunity to step into a busy practice and provide much-needed care for patients with GI conditions.
