ABOUT THE ROLE GI Physician needed for established, high-volume gastroenterology practice in coastal South Carolina. Procedurally-focused role (80% lab, 20% clinic) with excellent case variety, cutting-edge technology, and strong support team in integrated ASC/clinic/hospital setting. SCOPE OF PRACTICE & VOLUME 20"25 patients/day in clinic; 11"12 patients/day for procedures 7,000+ endoscopy cases annually 80% Lab, 20% Clinic split EUS: 236+ cases/year (growing) ERCP: 187+ cases/year (growing) NEW: Capsule Endoscopy service Diagnostic & therapeutic endoscopy, treatment of liver/gallbladder/pancreas disease CALL & SCHEDULING Current: 1 in 4 call (8 days/year) ADVANCING TO 1 IN 6 IN 2026 Consultation services only (no inpatient rounding) Dedicated inpatient NP starting February 2026 Team: 4 MDs + 3 APPs FACILITIES & TECHNOLOGY 4 procedure rooms + 8 holding/recovery rooms 180/190 HD scopes + brand-new C-Arms Integrated ASC/clinic/hospital (seamless workflow) PET scanning, 64-slice CT, 3-D mammo, breast MRI High-def endoscopy/bronchoscopy capabilities 3+ weeks patient wait time (strong demand) ACADEMIC & RESEARCH ACGME-accredited teaching hospital Bi-weekly tumor boards (breast, PCC, GI, ENT) Access to 450 Duke clinical trial protocols Medical student/residency teaching opportunities BENEFITS Competitive compensation (details TBD) Health, dental, vision Supplemental coverage Retirement 4% match (6% contribution) PSLF loan repayment Malpractice coverage 5 days CME + $3K/year License/dues covered Flexible scheduling Ample PTO REQUIREMENTS Board-certified or eligible in GI Valid SC license (or ability to obtain) Active DEA license Strong procedural skills PREFERRED: EUS/ERCP experience Teaching interest High-volume practice background Research/trial interest COMMUNITY Coastal SC: Beach lifestyle, 9.1% below national COL, 218 sunny days/year (74F), top schools, Coastal Carolina Univ (Div I), easy access to Myrtle Beach/Charleston, golfing, boating, fishing, dining.
