Gastroenterology Opening Harlingen, Texas
Outpatient Only No Call Up to $395K + Loan Repayment
A leading integrated healthcare system in Harlingen, Texas is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Gastroenterologist to join a well-supported outpatient GI practice with a focus on comprehensive digestive health and Hepatitis care.

Position Highlights Outpatient-only Gastroenterology practice
MondayFriday schedule: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
No call responsibilities
No weekends or holidays
Low daily patient volume: approximately 510 patients per day
Strong nursing and administrative support

Compensation $300,000$395,000 salary

Responsibilities Provide comprehensive Gastroenterology care in the outpatient setting
Diagnose and manage GI conditions including chronic liver disease and Hepatitis
Develop diagnostic and treatment plans for GI patients
Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams
Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses and treatment plans
Participate in teaching, mentorship, and potential research activities
Procedural Responsibilities
Physicians should be comfortable performing a broad range of GI procedures, including: EGD
Colonoscopy and flexible sigmoidoscopy
ERCP
Polypectomy
Liver biopsy
PEG placement
Esophageal dilation
Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)
Esophageal banding and sclerotherapy
Esophageal stent placement
Additional diagnostic and therapeutic GI procedures
Qualifications MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Active, unrestricted U.S. medical license
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gastroenterology
Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary care teams
Interest in teaching and mentoring preferred
