Locum Tenens Gastroenterologist Needed in North Carolina (j- )Are you a board-certified gastroenterologist seeking a locum tenens opportunity to provide vital care in a dynamic healthcare setting near Union Mills, NC?We are actively searching for a qualified physician to join our team and offer comprehensive gastroenterology services to both inpatients and outpatients. This temporary, locum tenens position offers the chance to make a real impact on patient lives while we undergo departmental restructuring.Why You Should Consider This Opportunity: Focus on Patient Care with Flexible Scheduling: This position focuses solely on call coverage, allowing you to manage your schedule and contribute your skills when needed. You'll have the opportunity to care for a diverse patient population with a manageable caseload (10-15 patients per shift). Supportive Work Environment: You'll collaborate with a team of experienced professionals in a well-equipped facility utilizing the McKesson Paragon EMR system. We offer temporary privileges to facilitate onboarding and a supportive environment that fosters collaboration. Long-Term Coverage Potential: While the initial need is for immediate coverage, this locum tenens position has the potential to transition into a longer-term role as we restructure our department.Key Qualifications: Licensed to practice medicine in North Carolina (active license required) Board-certified in gastroenterology (fellowship preferred) Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and ABLS Experience using McKesson Paragon EMR system (preferred)Schedule and Patient Load: Schedule: Call coverage only (details regarding call frequency to be discussed) Patient Load: Variable; expect to manage 10-15 patients per shift when on callAdditional Information: Admissions are not required for this call-focused role.
