Locum Tenens Hematology Oncology Physician Opportunity Near Kalamazoo, MI We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Hematology Oncology Physician for a locum tenens position near Kalamazoo, MI. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician looking to join a growing program and provide essential care in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Shift Details Shift(s) Description: Clinic 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

On Call Requirements: Rotation with approximately 6 other physicians

Responsibilities Practice Setting: Hospital-based cancer center with outpatient services, onsite lab, diagnostics, and pharmacy.

Reason for Coverage: New program growth

Dates of Coverage: Starting October 7, 2024, for approximately 10 months

Shifts Per Month: Full-time (5 days per week); part-time options available (partial weeks or alternating weeks)

Call Ratio: 1:5

Patient Population: Adult, Geriatric

Percentage of Practice: 50% Hematology, 50% Oncology

Number of Physicians in Practice: 7 across 2 locations

APPs Providing Coverage: Approximately 10

Average Number of Outpatients Per Day: 10-15

Average Number of Hospital Patients Per Day: 15

Clinical Area: Oncology - Outpatient

Trauma Level/Designation: Level 2 Trauma

Documentation System/EMR: Epic

Procedures Required Chemotherapy - Intrathecal

Chemotherapy - Intracavitary (Intrpleural/Peritoneal)

FNA/Biopsy

Management of VAD/CV Catheters

Requirements Board Certified/Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology: Required

Active Michigan License: Required

BLS Certification: Required

Certification Requirements BLS
