Job DescriptionMedical Oncologist/Hematologist Opening in Pennsylvania Located in *Somerset, PA * - Pittsburgh 69mWe are seeking a Medical Oncologist/Hematologist to join our cancer team. * We are seeking physicians with excellent clinical skills, interested in delivering high quality care and participating in numerous clinical trials. * Join a recently renovated facility on the hospital campus, offering the latest medical oncology treatments and clinical trials. * Physicians in the practice are well supported as part of an integrated, physician-led network of clinicians. * Work with an experienced team of medical oncologists/hematologists, advanced practice providers, specialized oncology nurses, lab, pharmacy and support staff. * Enjoy unprecedented growth in a practice that includes outpatient and inpatient medical consults, chemotherapy, lab and supportive therapy visits. * Care is provided in the clinic and hospital Monday – Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm. * On-call coverage is shared between physician colleagues.* Successful candidates should have or be able to obtain a Pennsylvania medical license and be board certified/board eligible in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology. * Candidates requiring a J-1 visa waiver or H-1B sponsorship following a J-1 waiver are welcome to apply. * Salary and benefits are highly competitive and commensurate with experience.Compensation & Benefits * Competitive base salary commensurate with experience plus a generous incentive program* Sign-on bonus* Outstanding benefit package including family health, dental, vision, pension, and life & disability insurance* Occurrence-based malpractice insurance* Generous PTO and CME allowanceHospital Hospital is a 118 licensed-bed hospital which cares for about 3,900 inpatients, more than 140,000 outpatients, and nearly 18,000 emergency cases annually. The hospital presently has a complement of medical/surgical beds, pediatric beds, obstetric/gynecology beds, nursery cribs, an intensive coronary care unit, skilled nursing beds, and an adult, adolescent and child neuropsychiatric service with an 18-bed hospital-based unit. Other services currently include medical oncology, a sleep lab, a dialysis center, a cardiac catheterization laboratory, a pain management program, occupational health, and community education. Round the clock emergency care is provided by the hospital. Ancillary services include radiology, laboratory, rehabilitation, cardiopulmonary services, orthopedics, inpatient/outpatient drug and alcohol services and hospice.About Our Community Located in the Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania, Somerset is a great place for outdoor enthusiasts, offering hiking, biking, and kayaking in the five nearby state parks, as well as skiing and other recreational activities at Seven Springs and Hidden Valley resorts.
