Hospitalist Physician Inpatient Care Brattleboro, VT
Join a leading community hospital in Brattleboro, Vermont, as a full-time Hospitalist, delivering quality inpatient care in a supportive environment. Quick Facts Location: Brattleboro, VT Start Date: 10/01/2026 or ASAP thereafter Duration: Permanent, with ongoing opportunities Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM 7:00 PM) Schedule: 7 10 shifts/month, flexible block scheduling Hours/Week: Approximately hours Employment Type: Full-time, permanent License/Certs: Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Experience: Prior inpatient/hospitalist experience preferredPay & Benefits Hourly Rate: $1.00/hour (note: pay details to be discussed upon application) Benefits: Competitive pay package Medical, dental, and vision insurance options Paid time off and sick leave Malpractice insurance Licensure and certification reimbursement Travel and lodging reimbursements (if applicable) Supportive nursing and multidisciplinary teamWhat You'll Do Provide inpatient adult medical care in a community hospital setting Respond to codes and rapid response situations Manage ventilator and step-down patients (vent management preferred) Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for patient discharge and transitional care Document patient care accurately in Cerner EMR Participate in weekend coverage as scheduled Maintain a collegial relationship with ED, surgical, and nursing staff Contribute to patient safety and continuous quality improvement initiativesWhat You Need Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Active Vermont medical license (pending licensure, credentialing approx. 90 days) 2+ years of inpatient or hospitalist experience preferred Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively Comfortable with EMR documentation and rapid response protocolsAbout the Assignment
Brattleboro Memorial Hospital is a small, community-focused facility with a friendly and supportive environment. You'll work alongside experienced colleagues with a strong overnight hospitalist team, and will enjoy working with a dedicated case management team to ensure smooth patient discharges.
