Quick Facts Location: San Jose, CA (2425 Samaritan Drive) Start Date: As soon as available End Date: Ongoing / Permanent Shift: 24-Hour In-House Hospitalist Coverage Hours/Week: Full-time Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time Licenses/Certifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB-GYN Experience: Preferred but not required; relevant obstetric and gynecologic experience beneficial Pay & Benefits Compensation: Base Salary options: $296,400 (0.71 FTE) + bonus incentives $328,320 (0.78 FTE) + bonus incentives Additional pay for extra clinical hours: $190/hour Benefits Include: Comprehensive health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescriptions) Telehealth and second opinion services Disability & life insurance HSA & FSA options Parental leave and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Fertility support benefits Retirement plans (401(k), employee stock purchase) Paid sick leave and CME allowance Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance Performance-based incentives What You ll Do Provide 24-hour in-house obstetric hospitalist coverage in a high-acuity setting Manage OB triage for unassigned patients and private physicians Respond to obstetric patient transports ( 5-6/month) Assist with cesarean sections (average 0-3 cases) and assist in 1-2 cases Conduct inpatient postpartum rounding and shared antepartum rounding with maternal-fetal medicine specialists Perform gynecologic emergency evaluations and coordinate care within a multidisciplinary team supported by Level III NICU, 24/7 neonatal, pediatric, anesthesia, and GYN surgical support Deliver comprehensive obstetric care within a collaborative hospital environment What You Need Required: Medical Degree and valid unrestricted medical license in California Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB-GYN Residency training in OB-GYN Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced hospital setting Preferred: Experience in inpatient obstetrics and gynecology Strong communication and team collaboration skills About the Assignment This position is based at a leading facility in San Jose, California, renowned for its high-acuity maternal-fetal care and advanced neonatal support.
