Job DescriptionJoin Our Wichita, Kansas Team as a Daytime or Nocturnist Hospital Medicine Physician – A Role Designed for You

\ NLocal Team Collaboration:
\ N Join our close-knit team of 30 physicians and six advanced practice providers (APPs) at Via Christi St. Francis.
\ N The 360-bed hospital isan open ICU with intensivist support.
\ N Work alongside clinicians from diverse backgrounds and experience levels who collaborate effectively and enjoy spending time together professionally and socially.
\ N Our day-to-day culture fosters a team atmosphere in a large, shared office space supported by a multidisciplinary patient care model.
\ N We prioritize open communication, involving team members in decisions and encouraging them to champion projects that improve care, such as updating order sets.
\ N Many clinicians serve on hospital committees, including the medical executive committee, strengthening relationships with specialists and our supportive administration. At the core of everything we do is a commitment to a strong work ethic, honesty, and patient safety.
\ N Qualifications:
\ N Board-certified/eligible internal medicine or family medicine physicians.
\ N J1 candidates invited to apply;
access to Sound’s in-house visa specialists as well as our licensing and credentialing experts;
all required filing fees for the visa are paid and services covered
\ N Accepting new graduates, residents, and fellows.
\ N Scheduling:
\ N We offer flexiblescheduling.
\ N Our retention rate is high, and we work collaboratively within our team to ensure coverage for time off.
\ N Key Responsibilities:
\ N No procedures required.
\ N 24/7 critical care coverage.
\ N Independent Code Blue and rapid response teams 24/7.
\ N Stroke code teams 24/7.
\ N Large nocturnist team each night: three physicians and one APP.
\ N Level 1 Trauma Center.
\ N Comprehensive Stroke Center.
\ N Advanced structural heart program.
\ N 24/7 PICC line/central line team.
\ N Manage a wide variety of cases at a large community-based hospital, including admissions and cross-coverage, with the support of a robust multispecialty team.
\ N We leverage our advanced resources and specialist availability to provide care for patients transferred from smaller rural hospitals requiring a higher level of expertise.
\ N Collaborate closely with residents, contributing to a teaching and mentorship environment.
\ N Work in coordination with an intensivist team that handles all procedures, allowing you to focus on patient care and clinical decision-making.
\ N Utilize Cerner with Dragon for efficient dictation and access to our internal informatics platform for streamlined workflow and communication.
