Locum Physician - Nocturnist in Petoskey, MI Hospitalist Night Shift Looking for a flexible night-shift opportunity with a leading facility in Petoskey, Michigan? Quick Facts: Location: Petoskey, MI Start Date: 12/01/2026 Shift: 12-hour nights (7p-7a), 7-on/7-off schedule Duration: 12/01 30/27 Hours/Week: 84 hours (based on 7 shifts) Employment Type: Locum Experience Needed: Internal Medicine, Adult Inpatient (non-ICU/CCU), prior hospitalist experience preferred Certifications: Medical license in Michigan or eligible, Board Certified/Eligible in Internal Medicine Pay & Benefits: Hourly Rate: $198.90 (including malpractice) Additional Benefits: Weekly direct deposit pay schedule Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Paid orientation ( hourly rate) Robust referral bonus program Licensure, certification, and travel reimbursements when applicable Malpractice coverage included What You ll Do: Provide inpatient hospitalist coverage during night shifts Conduct patient rounds on approximately 16 inpatient cases daily Respond to code situations as needed Collaborate with APP support for admissions and patient care Use Cerner EMR system for documentation and order entry Support continuous patient care and safety initiatives What You Need: Valid medical license in Michigan or eligible for license application At least 2 years of hospitalist or inpatient medicine experience Strong internal medicine skills with adult inpatient focus Ability to work independently during night shifts Excellent communication and teamwork skills About the Assignment: This opportunity is with a leading health system in Petoskey, Michigan, dedicated to high-quality inpatient care.
