Pediatric Hospitalist Physician Opportunity
Are you a pediatric hospitalist physician searching for your next exciting locum tenens opportunity? This position with one of VISTA's healthcare partners in Kamuela, Hawaii might just be the opportunity for you!
Opportunity Highlights
Schedule: 24-hour call shifts, schedule TBD
Job Setting: Community hospital
Type of Cases: Locums should be comfortable in doing neonatal resuscitation which includes endotracheal intubation, LMA insertion, umbilical catheterizations, IV insertion, lumbar puncture, neonatal circumcision. Managing neonatal and pediatric conditions like sepsis, RDS/respiratory conditions, hypoglycemia, dehydration, GI diseases, etc. Deliveries, problematic/complicated vaginal deliveries, neonatal consultations, rounding while on call. Should always be available for ER consults, ER admissions to Peds, phone consultations from outlying physicians.
Credentialing: Typically takes 1-2 months. Can be rushed for candidates with clean backgrounds.
Minimum Requirements for Consideration
Board Certified in Pediatrics, NRP, PALS, BLS
Licensure: Hawaii – active licensure preferred but VISTA is willing to pursue licensure for the right candidate.
