Hospitalist - Physician
Location: Springfield, Oregon
Schedule: 7:00AM - 7:00PM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension. Pay Rate: $170 - $183/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Hospitalist for a temporary assignment in Springfield, Oregon. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Hospitalist:
• Provide inpatient hospital medicine services including rounding, admissions, and cross-cover (nocturnists)
• Manage floor patients only; no ICU management or rounding required
• Care for adult patients only
• Manage an average of 15 patients per day as a rounder or 7 patients per day as an admitter
• Collaborate with intensivist team, who manage all in-house codes, lines, vents, and intubations
• Work alongside IR and intensivist group for procedures as needed
• Operate within a Level 2 trauma center environment with full subspecialty support available
• Utilize Epic EMR system proficiently for all clinical documentation
• Maintain current ACLS certification
• Hold or obtain an Oregon medical license prior to start (license must be in hand for starts sooner than 90 days)
• Demonstrate provision of inpatient or outpatient services for at least 80 patients in the past 24 months, or successful completion of an accredited residency, fellowship, or research program within the past 24 months
• Provide quality profiles or residency logs to demonstrate required clinical activity
• Maintain a minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccine requirement (no exemptions)
• Complete 8 hours of non-billable orientation
