JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: Profession: Physician Specialty: Hospitalist Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Brattleboro, VT Service Setting: Inpatient Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: Oct 01, 2026 Ongoing Shift Schedule: 7a-7p 7-10 shifts/month Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance Covered PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: 100% Adult inpatient/observation population Average Daily Volume: 15-20 patients per day Admissions: Yes Rounding: Included Case Mix: General hospitalist medicine FACILITY INFORMATION Trauma Level: III EMR System: Cerner Community Works Specialty Backup Available: ED, Surgery Support Staff Available: NPs, RNs, Case Management PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Temporary Privileges Available: Yes Credentialing Timeline: 90 days JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC (IM or FM) Licenses: VT (or willingness to obtain) DEA: Active Certifications: BLS, ACLS Experience: 1-2 years of hospitalist or comparable inpatient adult medicine experience Other Qualifications: Clean background, no malpractice or license issues Duties & Responsibilities Provide comprehensive inpatient care for adult patients in a community hospital setting Respond to codes and rapid responses Manage ventilator patients and step-down level patients Collaborate with NP, ED team, surgeons, and case management Participate in weekend coverage as part of the schedule
