Job description
Seeking a full-time BC/BE Infectious Disease Physician to join a hospital-based team in Southern Maine, providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient infectious disease care within a collaborative and multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
Position Highlights & Key Responsibilities: Evaluate and manage a broad spectrum of infectious diseases in both inpatient and outpatient settings
Provide expert consultation for complex infections and antimicrobial stewardship programs
Participate in hospital infection prevention and control initiatives
Collaborate closely with hospitalists, surgeons, primary care, and specialty teams to coordinate patient care
Contribute to quality improvement efforts, policy development, and evidence-based clinical protocols
Engage in patient, family, and staff education regarding infection prevention and emerging infectious diseases
Participate in multidisciplinary committees and hospital-wide initiatives
